What Red wines work in the Summer Heat

Anthony Gismondi – the weekly wine columnist, the Vancouver Sun since 1989, writes about the wines for summer and selects La Vieille Ferme, Cotes du Ventoux 2013 Red which “has the perfect mix of fruit and spice and licorice to stand up to a variety of foods. Veal and vegetable kebabs are a favourite”
 
He recommends “for summer reds, light fresh and juicy is the theme. Limited or no wood and low tannins are the kind of reds we like to sip all summer. Don’t forget most of them will be better if they spend ten minutes in an ice bucket.”
